Applicants must:
- hold, or be willing to apply for, qualified teacher status in Norway
- work in line with the Norwegian Kindergarten act and Framework plan for Kindergartens
- develop an understanding for the philosophy and practice of the International Baccalaureate and Primary year programme.
- be able to create a safe, warm and developing environment where the children's need for sensitive, patient and present staff are met at all times
- be able to work in an innovative educational environment
- actively support your class homeroom teacher (pedagogisk leder) and assistants, where you are a good role model for your students and coworkers.
- be flexible and able to collaborate with others
- be able to provide a clean police background check.
General:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of an environment of safety and in which every child can flourish,
- Conduct oneself professionally, operating at all times in line with ISB’s Core Values, policies and procedures,
- Demonstrate a willingness to communicate openly, calmly and professionally as part of ISB team

- Teaching assignments are subject to change depending on need

The working hours for preschool teachers without homeroom responsibilities are 37,5 hours per week. 32,5 hours are scheduled for teaching and 5 hours per week are scheduled for planning.
